I started taking photographs when I was a child, borrowing my mom's Exacta with a top viewfinder that I still miss.  Most of my cameras were gifts from friends or family. There's something special about a $20 used Craigslist Olympus, a Sony point and shoot with a cracked display, or a surprise hand-me-down Lumix. I don't own a DSLR (yet).
